Hey everyone!
I hope you're all doing well. July has gone by SO fast! It's possibly been the hottest month in England for a long while. Now that July has come to an end, I'm going to show you all what I've been loving this month.
It's fair to say I have a lot of favourites this month, so this post might be a little longer than usual but I'll try to get through each favourite quickly!
MAC Lipliner - Whirl
I have been loving the 90's dark nude lip and I really wanted a nude coloured lip liner to work with. I heard Kylie Jenner herself uses this lipliner and I have to say, it looks so pretty. It's a nudey rose colour and would compliment most skin tones. The texture is quite matte but not drying on the lips. Definitely one of my favourite purchases this month.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner - Nude
This is the perfect eyeliner for the water liner. It instantly makes your eyes appear bigger and because it is waterproof, it does not budge. It's also a bargain at £3.99 a pop.
Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream (27 Honey Beige)
I've previously mentioned this in a previous BB creams post. It is a lovely (in my opinion) full coverage BB cream. I got this in the shade Honey Beige, which has a yellow/golden undertone. The next shade down was way too red/beige!
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer (NC30)
Arguably the best high end concealer on the market in my opinion. I've tried and tested a number of concealers but none really match up to MAC's pro longwear. It lasts all day and gives the most flawless coverage.
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado
This is a nice eye cream that I have been loving this month. It hydrates the undereye area and acts as the perfect base for a bright concealer/highlighter.
L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara - Black
This has definitely been my favourite mascara this month. It is such good quality and has a cheap price tag. It makes your eyelashes look very black, voluminous, thicker and longer than they naturally are.
MAC Face & Body Foundation (C5)
This is my new favourite summer foundation. It is such a light sheer foundation with a dewy finish that makes your skin look natural and glowy. This is one of the first foundations I've used where it actually does look like your skin but better. This foundation is particularly great for people with good skin, as it looks so flawless. However, you can also use a bit of concealer beforehand to cover any blemishes.
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder (Golden Sand)
This is a good powder to set your foundation with. The texture is very sheer and light which means you won't get any blotchiness that you can sometimes get with other powders. It sets the foundation and controls oil very well. It would be nice if there were more yellow toned shades available as this one is quite beige.
Ben Nye Luxury Powder (Banana)
The highly raved about Ben Nye Banana Powder made famous by Kim Kardashian. I absolutely LOVE this powder for my under eyes and highlighted areas. I mentioned this in a previous haul post and thought it deserved another mention because it is that amazing. This powder is great for those with a yellow/golden/olive undertone as it enhances your natural features.
Sleek Contour Kit (Medium)
This is such an amazing little compact contour duo. The kit comes with a contour shade and a pink highlighter. For the price, you can't really go wrong. It's affordable and works just as well as any high end contour product.
Barry M Dazzle Dust (Tan)
I had been looking for a drugstore/high street loose glitter/pigment that wasn't too expensive. This Barry M Dazzle Dust did not disappoint. It's very pigmented and looks gorgeous on the eyes. I got this in tan which is a golden taupe colour.
Collection 2000 Extreme 24HR Felt Tip Eyeliner (Black)
This is the best felt tip applicator eyeliner I have come across! It has the most perfect point and has great colour payoff. I definitely recommend this for those on a budget.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (03 Warm Medium)
This is one of the best drugstore/high street concealers. Obviously it's not as good as MAC's pro longwear but for the price it is an actual godsend! It covers imperfections so well without looking too heavy or cakey. It is also a great concealer for under the eyes.
Sigma F86 Tapered Kabuki Brush
I love this brush so much. I use it to blend out my concealer under my eyes and it makes the finish look so flawless. I would say it is on par with the beauty blender, which I also love.
Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush
This brush has fast become my favourite brush for applying foundation. It makes the foundation blend so seamlessly into your skin without it looking cakey. Definitely a top favourite this month!
Zoeva 109 Face Paint Brush
I love to use this brush for contouring. It is the perfect shape to carve out your cheekbones. I love the whole Zoeva range - I also purchased the petite crease and blending brush which I also adore and highly recommend. Zoeva brushes are also incredibly affordable and great for those who don't want to spend too much on make-up brushes.
So there you have my favourites. Sorry it was such a long post! I just had so many favourites this month haha. Thanks for reading, leave comments below :)
BB Creams: Hit or Miss?
Friday, 25 July 2014
Hey Everyone,
Summer has well and truly arrived, which means many of us will be trading in the full coverage foundations for lighter, natural looking dewy skin.
Having a tanned complexion can make it quite difficult to find a BB cream to suit my skin tone, as I find with most BB creams there just isn't enough yellow undertones or the shade is way too light.
I have been through trial and error trying different BB creams throughout the years. I still haven't found one that matches my skin tone exactly, but there are 1 or 2 BB creams out there that I have been loving.
Garnier BB Cream for Oily/Combination skin SPF 20
This BB cream is amazing for those with oily skin like myself! It controls oil so well and has pretty decent coverage. The only thing about this is it doesn't come in many shades, I even find the medium/deep shade to be a little too light for my NC42 skin, but I make it work with extra bronzer.
Missha BB Cream SPF 42
This cream is my favourite BB cream so far, it gives a decent coverage and lasts ages. I got the shade #27 honey beige which again, is a little light for me - but I found this shade had more golden/olive undertones than #31 Golden beige, which is a little strange considering the shade name! With this, I find it goes a little darker to blend into your skin tone, so it isn't too bad after an hour or so.
Maybelline BB Cream SPF 30
I have this BB cream in dark, and this is a little too dark for me. It has a lot of warm undertones but I feel like it looks too orange on me. The coverage is okay and it has a natural matte finish, but it doesn't last that long at all on my complexion.
Those are all the BB creams I have tried so far. If any of you have recommendations please leave them in the comments below! Thank you for reading.

Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow DUPE!
Tuesday, 22 July 2014
Hey Everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. When I first heard about the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadows, I was amazed by how pretty the foil effect looked, as well as the amazing colours they came in. You can imagine how gobsmacked I was when I found out they cost £33.50 EACH! For me, that's a bit steep for an eyeshadow and I don't feel like the product, even though its stunning, justifies spending that much money on a single eyeshadow.
However, I've found an exact replica of the Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadows, and they are the Makeup Revolution Awesome Eye Foils.
They even come in similar colours. The Rose Gold one is an exact dupe for Kitten! The packaging is also pretty similar, and it also comes with a eye primer and mixing tray. Once the eyeshadow is mixed with the primer on the tray, it creates this beautiful foil effect shadow that looks absolutely amazing on the eye lid.
There are 5 different shades to choose from: Black Diamond, Pure Platinum, Emerald Goddess, Rose Gold and Magnificent Copper.

Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub Review
Friday, 4 July 2014
Hey everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying the weather lately in unpredictable England! I've been making the most of this non-traditional British weather by going shopping and getting out whenever I can. I'm hoping to go to a barbeque since I'm not allowed any meat at home. It's a hard life haha. On to the review..
The thought of getting microdermabrasion sounds kind of scary, it would normally involve a treatment where your face is sprayed with exfoliant crystals to remove dead epidermal cells. However, today I'm going to review this amazing, cheaper and just as effective alternative, which is the Microdermabrasion Scrub by Derma E. This is single-handedly the BEST scrub I have ever tried, I kid you not. I have been using this scrub twice a week for about 4 weeks now and thought it was about time I'd write an honest review for you guys.
Once this scrub is applied to the desired areas (which in this case would be my face), it immediately improves the condition of your skin; it evens out your skintone while making it super soft and gets rid of any dead skin cells. It uses an exclusive crystal blend including dead sea salt and volcanic sand (rich in silica). It's described as a scrub that buffs away dull surface cells, helps diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars and absorbs excess skin oils. I feel that it does exactly what it says on the tin, though I can't really comment on fine lines or wrinkles as I don't have any, yet(!)
Once applied to the face, you gently scrub the product in upward motions for 3 minutes and then rinse it off with cool water. This leaves your skin looking a lot clearer and brighter. It works just as well as a microdermabrasion treatment without the hefty price tag! I can't recommend this product enough.
Have you tried the Derma E Microdermabrasion scrub? Or another alternative that you're loving at the moment? Leave comments below. I will hopefully have another fashion post up soon as it's been a while. Thanks for reading!
