Fall Fashion with Katch Me

Autumn is finally here and it's starting to get a bit cooler here in London. This is my favourite time of year as you can wear transitional pieces that make a statement while also being able to keep warm! Even though we're all going through hard times right now, there's no reason why we shouldn't still look cosy and stylish right?

I was kindly gifted some Autumn essentials from katch me. Katch me is very affordable and they currently have a sale on. All links to the outfits will be in the photos as well as at the bottom of this post.

This rosey pink faux fur jacket is a staple, as it's just warm enough to get you through those windy days but stylish enough to look cute with any outfit! I paired them with these faux leather trousers which I absolutely love. Pu is definitely making a comeback this fall and I couldn't be more excited about it!

A faux fur gilet is the perfect piece to wear when you don't want to over do it. It'll keep you warm enough and it's super trendy. There's no limits on the amount of clothing you can layer on, here I paired it with a white corset top, but you can pretty much pair it with anything as it's such a versatile piece. I got everything in a size 8 apart from the trousers which is a size 6.

What are your autumn staples? Let me know in the comments below! If you'd like to shop any of these pieces, I have linked the images and you can visit their website: https://www.katchme.com/

Femme Luxe Finery

Hey everyone,

Party season is upon us and I'm obsessed with what femme luxe has to offer! I've been a fan of theirs for a while now and I love to dress up, whether it's for a date night, going out with friends to the club or just chilling at home (am I the only one who does this?!)

Here are a few pieces that femme luxy finery kindly gifted to me:

Camel Corset Zip Front Top

Love this for a night out as it's sexy but still chic. I've paired mine with a lace skirt for an extra feminine feel. This would also look great with a pair of jeans for a casual look.

Black Polka Dot Dress

Polka dots are a wardrobe staple! They're such a classic print and go with anything for all occasions. This polka dot dress is perfect for a date night or drinks and is a must have for the holidays.

White ‘Sweet but Psycho’ t-shirt

Oh she's sweet but a psycho (not really) love this print though! I love pairing a basic t with a pair of jeans or denim shorts. Maybe more of a summer vibe but you can definitely layer for winter with a knitted cardigan.

What are your favourite pieces? What are you loving at the moment from femme luxe finery? Check out their website and leave suggestions in the comments below!

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation Review

Sunday, 30 April 2017

Hey everyone,

I don't know about you but I love trying new foundations. It doesn't matter how many I have in my collection, it's my favourite makeup product to test out. As I have quite oily skin, I love trying out foundations that claim to combat this, and are also long lasting. Today I am going to be reviewing the new Teint Idole Wear Foundation from Lancome* which was kindly gifted to me by their PR team.

Along with the foundation, I was sent the brush that works in conjunction with it, as well as a luminous primer. I have been testing the foundation out for a few weeks now to really gather my thoughts and give an honest review. What I love about this foundation is that it's available in 40 shades, making it easier than ever to find your perfect shade. I am in the shade 050 Beige Ambre which has a nice olive undertone. For reference I am NC42 in MAC.

The foundation claims to provide:
  • Long lasting full coverage without feeling cakey, leaving the skin feeling comfortable all day
  •  Great staying power, their 24 hour foundation allows you to go out and be your best without needing to retouch on the go.
  • Teint Idole Ultra Wear is also transfer free and smudge free, giving you confidence to carry on with your day

A photo of me wearing the foundation on holiday! (Shade 050 Beige Ambre)

The packaging comes in a standard 30ml luxurious translucent glass bottle, which I think looks really nice. I took it on holiday with me recently and had no problems with it breaking. It also comes with a pump which makes it easier to use without wasting any product.

After testing out this foundation, I can honestly say it is one of my current favourites! The finish is matte without looking dull or cakey on the skin, and the formula is really nice. There is no noticeable scent to it which I personally prefer. I have worn the foundation for 8 hours without having to touch up which is pretty impressive. I do think the type of primer you wear underneath also has an effect on the overall wear of the foundation too.

The only thing I noticed is I have to set it otherwise it is transferable, which isn't a big deal as I always set my foundation. #oilygirlproblems. The foundation currently retails for £31.50. Get tested in store to find your perfect match.

Have you tried this foundation? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. What's your current favourite foundation?

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette Review

Thursday, 30 March 2017

Hey everyone!

I hope you've had a fabulous week so far. As some of you may know from watching my YouTube videos, I love buying new makeup releases and trying out new products, especially if they are heavily raved about through the blogosphere or YouTube.

The product I am going to review today was something I wasn't initially going to buy as it is quite expensive for a makeup palette, but after seeing so many positive reviews I gave in! It's the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette.

Firstly, the packaging is stunning. The paper slide features a close up of Huda's eye's, where she's wearing a gold metallic eyeshadow (most likely from the palette). The eyeshadow palette is made from cardboard and plastic and doesn't have a mirror - which I personally prefer as I have so many eyeshadow palettes that have mirrors and it also makes the packaging a little less bulky and lightweight.

All of the eyeshadows are extremely pigmented. I really couldn't wait to use the palette before taking photos, apologies for that! The matte shadows are gorgeous and are not chalky at all, they are so nice and buttery. The textured eyeshadows are amazing, I apply them with my fingers for the best result and they last all day on my eyelids. I can't even pick one shade as my favourite as they are all so beautiful! This is definitely my favourite palette at the moment as it's so versatile and you can create so many looks from it.

Overall, I would say it is definitely worth the price of £56 for 18 eyeshadows - which works out at just over £3 per eyeshadow. If you are looking for a palette to make a range of creative looks from, I would highly recommend you check this out! I got mine from Cult Beauty.

Have you tried out the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette? Let me know in the comments.

Barry M Matte Me Up Liquid Lip Paints Review

Saturday, 11 March 2017

Hey everyone,

I'm back! I got a new camera which I am completely obsessed with and hoping to get more fashion posts done in the near future. Today I am doing a review on the new matte me up liquid lip paints by Barry M. Barry M is one of the best high street beauty brands in my opinion. I love their lip liners, lipsticks and nail paints, so I was super excited when they announced they were going to join the trend of liquid lipsticks and couldn't wait to try some of them out.

They have 5 staple shades available: Embellish (a deep purple), Paparazzi (a cherry red), Pop up (a strawberry red), Minimalist (light pinky nude) and On the Scene (medium peachy nude). They also have 3 lip kits which come with a lip paint and lip liner in Go to Nude, Pose Pink and Runway Berry.
From left to right: Pop Up, Paparazzi, Minimalist & On the Scene

The shades I picked up were Paparazzi, Pop up, Minimalist and On the Scene - which I got 2 of to give one to my sister. They currently retail for £4.99 each however, Superdrug had a special offer on their website where you could buy 5 for £15 and get a free contour kit which I thought was a nice deal.

The liquid lip paints come in a gorgeous travel friendly plastic casing with a standard doe-foot applicator.

They have a non-drying formula and they apply super light and liquidy; they do take a while to dry so you have plenty of time to get a nice even coverage on the lips. The finish is super matte and kiss-proof and does not flake or peel throughout wear or if you want to top up.

I am very impressed with these lip paints! I would say they are on par with high end liquid lipsticks. They are extremely long lasting, opaque and have a nice subtle vanilla scent to them. They are very comparable to the Kylie Jenner liquid lipsticks and for the price point, I would definitely say these are better.

I haven't got round to using all the shades but I will update this post as and when I do. So far, my favourites are On the Scene and Pop up. I love On the Scene because it's an everyday nude for my skintone (for reference, I am an NC42 in MAC). If you're paler, this will probably look more like a nude brown which is equally beautiful.

I would definitely check out Superdrug if you are interested in purchasing one of these amazing liquid lip paints! They always have offers on so it's worth checking out the website.

Have you tried out these liquid lipsticks? Let me know in the comments! Also, let me know what you're favourite liquid lipstick brand is.

What's Been Going On/Update

Sunday, 27 November 2016

Hey everyone,

I thought I would write a quick post on why I have been so absent on my blog and Youtube channel. There has been a lot of changes in my life lately. If you follow me on Twitter you will know I recently got a job as a Social Media and Marketing assistant at a fashion company which I am really loving. It is literally a dream come true. On the other hand, I am also going through a hard time in my personal life, a break up to be specific, which is the reason for the lack of content on my blog. I also stopped doing YouTube videos when I started seeing said person as I found myself spending all my free time with him. I am not going to go into too much detail as it's something that is still quite raw. I'm not sure when I will be coming back to Youtube, but I will definitely be blogging again so make sure you follow my blog regularly to stay updated.

Facetox Face Mask Review

Hey everyone,

I hope you're all well. It's been a while since I've updated on my blog, there's been a lot going on but I'll talk about that in another post. Today I'm reviewing the Factox face mask* that was kindly gifted to me a few weeks ago. I actually took photos with my Canon 70D but I lost them and then had to retake them with my old camera which is why the quality is so bad so I do apologise for that!

Facetox is an organic, cruelty free vegan face mask that comes in two different sachets - one contains the powder which is kind of like an aztec clay with the other being rose water. Together the combination is like magic on the skin! The clay pulls the toxins out of the skin while the rose water repairs and nourishes the skin.

Besides the sachets, the box comes with a mixing try and applicator which makes it super easy to mix and apply the mask to your face.

Just before applying the face mask with clean skin.

#nomakeup #nofilter #crazybun

I applied the face mask to my face and neck and one sachet of each was more than enough to cover the whole entire area. I left it on for about 30 minutes and I instantly noticed a difference. My skin was a lot softer and as nasty as it sounds, I could see my blackheads come to the surface so it definitely does pull out the toxins! I tend to get blackheads/whiteheads and I have large pores. My complexion just appeared brighter in general and my pores had also noticeably tightened. I was pleasantly surprised by how pleased I was with the results, I have tried so many face masks and this is definitely one of the better ones for acne/oily skin.

If you have oily skin like me or tend to get a lot of acne and blemishes, I would highly recommend you give this a try as it is fantastic and delivers the results it says it does. The masks aren't too pricey and work out to be £3.57 each.

You can purchase this on the Facetox website.

Have you tried Facetox before? If you have, let me know in the comments! Or if you've tried other face masks you think are amazing don't forget to also mention them in the comments.
